Minimum Requirements
Grade 10/Standard 8 or AET Level 4 (Essential/Minimum)
Skills Programme in Field Ranger Law Enforcement (Essential/Minimum)
Minimum 1 year of relevant job-specific Ranger experience (Essential)
Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
Valid Public Driver’s License, Code EB (Essential/Minimum)
Strong understanding of conservation practices and environmental legislation enforcement
Ability to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services
Proficient in monitoring and access control to conservation areas
Effective communication skills for interaction with visitors and stakeholders

Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols to prevent unauthorized access and detect potential security threats.
Monitor and enforce access control measures and guidelines within conservation areas.
Collaborate with law enforcement and community stakeholders to support conservation efforts and emergency services.
Implement and enforce environmental and land conservation bylaws and legislation.
Support conservation management activities by gathering information and maintaining ecological data.
Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards for a safe and healthy work environment.
Maintain comprehensive records of wildlife surveys, erosion monitoring, and visitor activities for management analysis.
Foster an understanding of the natural environment by interacting with visitors and promoting conservation awareness.
Respond promptly to safety incidents and operational needs with agility and efficiency.
Stay informed about innovative conservation practices and contribute to developing strategic solutions.
