Who can apply?

Unemployed youth who have not previously participated in the Yes4Youth initiative.
Aged between 18 and 29
Must be a South African citizen.
Must reside close to the workplace area
Must not have a criminal record.
Must be able to start employment on 1 May 2026.
Highest Qualification to be Grade 12
Qualification aligned to the position would be an advantage

Role Purpose:
The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Department in the coordination of events, management of
marketing stock, processing of branded collateral orders, and execution of marketing and branding
initiatives. The role provides administrative, logistical, and project support across a range of marketing
activities, contributing to brand consistency and effective campaign execution.
This role offers strong exposure to marketing operations, event coordination, supplier management, and
brand administration.

Responsibilities:
Event Activation

• Assist in planning and executing both internal and external events, including company gatherings, trade shows, and promotional events.
• Ensure branding and promotional materials are available and set up at events
• Coordinate event logistics, supplier communication, and on-the-ground activities
• Support with post-event evaluations and reporting.

Stock Management
• Monitor and manage marketing stock, including promotional items, corporate gifts, and branded clothing.
• Track inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is available for events and campaigns.
• Maintain an organised storage system and co-ordinate the distribution of marketing materials and promotional items, working closely with the marketing team
• Manage the procurement of brand collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and quality standards

Order Processing – Suppliers for Clothing & Collateral
• Liaise with suppliers to order branded clothing, marketing collateral, and promotional materials.
• Process orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of items.
• Work with finance to manage purchase orders and supplier payments.

Administrative Support
• Manage meeting minutes, ensuring key action points are recorded and distributed.
• Organise invoices per month in designated folders for easy reference and auditing.
• Maintain marketing records, databases, and documentation.
• Assist with general administrative tasks to support the marketing team.
• Assist in marketing campaigns and branding initiatives as required.
• Provide support in preparing reports and presentations.
• Any additional tasks reasonably assigned by management.
• Project Coordination: Skill in coordinating marketing and brand projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress.

Skills & Competencies (Advantageous):
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Good communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to manage logistics and coordinate event activities
• Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, positive, team-oriented attitude
