Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or NQF4
1 year work experience in similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
Receive and handle incoming calls on the emergency switch board and radio communication.
Operation and utilization of computer aided dispatch system that incorporates voice, electronic and data means
Use standard emergency communication operational procedures
Maintain accurate electronic logs of all emergency and non-emergency calls and departmental fleet and personnel movement
Operate and monitor all non-verbal communications systems, including linked direct alarm systems and surveillance systems within the centre in a professional and efficient manner.
Perform critical incident management operational level task
Perform emergency communication related administrative duties
Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements
Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources
Support the instituting of Customer Service Orientation
Support the instituting of people and productivity management
