Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based at Sedibeng Brewery. The successful incumbent will report to the TPM and Capability Specialist.
Purpose of the position: An exciting internship opportunity for a motivated and driven final-year student in Industrial Engineering/Operations Management who is looking to gain meaningful,
hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment. This programme is designed to provide practical exposure to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and capability development systems, processes, and standards.
The successful intern will gain exposure to and support the following: (but are not limited to):
Support TPM pillar implementation and sustainment activities
Assist in driving Continuous Improvement initiatives across the plant
Assist in identifying and eliminating operational losses and downtime
Participate in root cause analysis, problem-solving sessions, and Kaizen activities
Support performance data analysis and reporting
Assist in developing and maintaining TPM standards and visual management systems
Support 5S and workplace organisation initiatives
Assist in coordinating training and capability development activities
Support administrative activities related to TPM and capability development
Assist with updating and maintaining skills matrices, training records, and competency tracking documents
Engage with employees at all levels to promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
Support implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Assist in documenting best practices and continuous improvement opportunities
Support operational projects aligned to productivity, reliability, and efficiency improvements
Knowledge and understanding of TPM principles and manufacturing excellence systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
