Role Purpose:

The Chicken Business is currently recruiting for a Slaughterer to be based at the Chicken Processing Plant in Rustenburg  and the successful incumbent will report to Process Leader.The role will be responsible to provide the services of a Slaughterer and to ensure they comply with the Halaal Standards.
 

Required Qualifications:

Valid RSA ID document.
Minimum Grade 12.
Registered with the Muslim Judicial Council.
 

Required Experience:

At least 6-12 months experience slaughtering chicken.
Previous work experience in poultry processing plant.
 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
Inherent requirement of the job – incumbent must be Muslim.
Physically fit and able to work in dusty conditions.
Precise cut to jugular vein to be made to ensure maximum bleeding
Maintaining good housekeeping of the slaughtering area, including the blood pits
Continuous adherence to the specified hygiene safety standards and legislation
