Job Summary

The purpose of this learnership is to develop and equip unemployed youth with the practical skills, knowledge, and experience required to succeed in the microinsurance and financial services industry.

As a Microinsurance Sales Consultant Learner, you will contribute to driving financial inclusion by promoting accessible and affordable insurance solutions to underserved communities. The role focuses on building trust with customers, delivering exceptional service, and supporting clients throughout the insurance lifecycle, while gaining hands-on sales and customer engagement experience.

Programme Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

Promote and sell microinsurance products to individuals and communities
Build trust and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service
Recommend suitable and affordable insurance solutions.
Assist clients with applications, policy queries, and claims processes
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and company requirements
Participate in community outreach, awareness campaigns, and educational initiatives
Accurately capture client information and maintain detailed records
Meet learnership performance and sales targets
Continuously develop product knowledge and sales techniques

Minimum Requirements

 

Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field – Essential
Currently unemployed and not studying
Clear criminal and credit record
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Willingness to travel within Gauteng and/or KwaZulu-Natal

Preferred Experience (Advantageous)

 

Previous call centre experience
Exposure to sales or customer service environments
Prior insurance or financial services experience
