Job Advert Summary

The HR Administrator is responsible for providing general administrative support for all HR activities such as Talent Management, Performance Management, Change Management, Learning & Development, Rewards and Benefits, General HR in line with relevant labour legislation, internal policies and procedures.

The HR Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive and hands-on HR support at site level. This role ensures that all people-related processes are effectively implemented in line with

company
policies, labour legislation, and operational needs. The incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for all site HR matters, ensuring that HR services are delivered efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced, labour-intensive environment. This postion is a short term Fixted Contract.

Duties

Responsibilities

- Provide operational and administrative HR support to the site/plant.

- Administer payroll inputs and employee benefits.

- Maintain employee files and master data.

- HR Systems –support line managers in creating effective organisation structures for their own functional areas in line with business unit objectives and processes performed in the business.

- Ensure HR data integrity aligned to relevant legislation and audit protocols and reporting from the SAP system.

- Review appropriateness of job contents with line managers and job family owners for all new and updated job profiles, prior to submitting for job evaluation and publication.

- Ensure that structural changes are checked and updated monthly on the SAP system including reporting line changes, new joiners and vacancies.

- Ensure a thorough understanding of all Human Capital processes and policies.

- Guideline managers across the business on how to interpret and apply the

requirements

and what the business benefits are of doing so.

- Proactively brief line managers of major events in Human Resources calendar.

- Act as the change champion for improvements in HR processes and systems by explaining the benefits to line managers.

- Ensure a personal deep understanding of the capability that exists on the Human Capital systems (SAP). Encourage business users to use all the available functionality.

- Comply with all audit and regulatory requirements.

- Administer all employee personal details aligned to group policies and legislation,

- Administer all employee movements i.e. appointments, terminations, promotions and transfers.

- Verify leave, overtime, and site allowances for payroll processing.

- Liaise with Payroll and HR departments to resolve pay-related queries.

- Act as the first point of contact for site employees and supervisors on HR-related issues.

- Support and guideline management on disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with the LRA.

- Attend disciplinary hearings and maintain related documentation.

- Promote a positive employee relations environment and act promptly on-site concerns.

- Facilitate employee inductions and onboarding of new hires to ensure smooth integration.

- Coordinate training logistics for site employees (bookings, attendance registers, feedback).

- Maintain the training matrix and assist with

skills
development reporting.

Minimum

Requirements

- At least 2-3 years in HR administration

experience

preferably in a construction, mining, or manufacturing environment.

- A minimum of 2 year’s SAP HR

experience

- Familiarity with relevant statutory legislation (Strong understanding of BCEA, LRA, and other labour-related legislation.)

- Know how to access and interpret human resources policies / processes / legislations

- Knowledge of SAP HR

- Knowledge in Ms Word, PowerPoint and excel

- Extraction, interpretation and report writing
