Description
The successful incumbent for this role will be responsible for the execution of stock control.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

Grade 12
 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

1-year stock ordering and stock control experience in a sales environment 
 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Monitor stock levels and ensure that stock is timeously ordered from supplier or procurement
Take receipt of stock and ensure correct product counts as well as correct product pricing
Conduct stock counts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis    
Manage stock provisions, including managing stock levels, minimizing stock losses, damaged stock and expired stock
Ensuring Cold Chain compliance is adhered to during Receiving process
Ensure that staff are aware of Legal requirements regarding purchasing of certain products (Poison, Red-band) and that the registers on all Red-band products are up to date and signed off.     
Ensure that product codes, prices, and stock correspond with the barcode, product code and description of the product item received       
Generate stock-taking count sheets and assist with quarterly stock-taking     
Capture count sheets on the system  
Attend product knowledge training
Generate reports from the system (Min/Max stock levels, stock days, supplier lead times, Quantity sales reports, Outstanding inter-branch transfers, Lost sales)
Ensure that stock is displayed according to merchandising standards and that merchandising displays are relevant to seasonal need to enhance add-on sales
 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Proficient with MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
Knowledge of the K8 stock and finance system
