Grow, Innovate, Succeed! We have an incredible opportunity for a STOREMAN PERMANENT PART TIME at Indigo Brands in Epping, Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be responsible to receive, store and issue components, raw materials and fully finished products accurately and timeously to support the manufacturing and production processes.

Key Areas Of Impact

Productivity Cost Quality Delivery Safety Morale (PCQDSM)

 

Participate in daily performance results with team (PQDSM) and discuss reasons for good/poor performance
Participate in weekly performance results with teams (PCQDSM) and discuss reasons for good or poor performance
Share improvement suggestions to team members
Celebrate Teams progress and Improvements
Provide feedback to team on improvement suggestions
Adhere to Quality and Safety One Point Lessons – sign copies
Report on Receiving and Supplier issues
Report on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health and Safety issues

Reporting and Meetings

 

Participate in weekly pallet count
Record pallet movement
Attend and participate in Green Area meetings
Report on receiving and return issues

Team Management and Leadership

 

On the job training and coaching by team leader on quality, safety and performance
Discuss incentive results recorded on the Visual Management board

Team Work

 

Uphold team meeting agenda and code of conduct during team meetings
Initiate actions in team meeting to log on to the action board
Take responsibility as per team member’s responsibility schedule
Join Warehouse and Distribution alignment meeting
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training and refresher

Visual Management

 

Update VM boards – KPIs, responsibility rotation and other
Remind and initiate training as per Development Action Plan (DAP) on the Training Matrix
Follow up on overdue actions on the action logs

6S and Autonomous Schedules

 

Perform 6S audits
Sign off completed Daily, Weekly and Monthly Master Autonomous Schedules
Complete actions arising from the 6S audit

Continuous Improvement

 

Encourage and support each team member for improvement ideas and suggestions
Identify Improvement opportunities
Develop and complete improvement action

Learning and Development

 

Initiate training and assessment of individual according to plan
Sign training registers and assessment forms to Continuous Improvement Hub

Safety

 

Complete Material Handling Equipment checklist
Complete Racking and Stacking inspections
Action Health and Safety (H&S) items resulting from H&S audit and provide feedback
Report incidents immediately and complete incident report and investigation

Quality

 

Monitor receiving process – quality of stock received
Check and sign off cleaning and sanitation logs
Assist on closing out actions resulting from raised Non-Conformance Records
Action items resulting from GMP audits

Business Process

 

Pick as per production/delivery schedule
Liaise with internal customers on deliveries of components, masses and finished goods
Receive materials as per SOP
Confirm all orders and ensure stock is moved to forwarding area
Change quantities on outer cases
Correct and timeous process of returns
Correct and timeous process of stacking materials
Ensure bin stock accuracy and perform stock counts
Correct and timeous process of reservations

Minimum 1 year experience
