Description
PurposeThe purpose of the role is to have a dedicated focus on the higher risk areas within Group Distribution focusing on risk analysis and administrative support to the risk & commissions team.Key Responsibility Areas /
duties
Data Collection and Anaylsis- Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.- Keep track of risk parameters, identify more deviations and assist with mitigation factors.
- Proactively seek trends with adverse risk effects and ensure the relevant stakeholders are informed continuously on developments.
- Identify business requirements, needs, processes and possible associated solutions using industry standards methods, models and formats.
- Ensure reports provided on research conducted and recommendations made are relevant and appropriate considering impact on business, customer & cost.Risk Management Analysis- Keep track of risk parameters, identify deviations and report them to more senior colleagues.
- Work within established risk management systems and processes. Collaborate to ensure Risk log is comprehensive, up to date and reflects the losses, near misses and external events that could impact our environment.
- Ensure incident information is comprehensive and correct and that the controls manage the risk appropriately.- When required, ensure that internal audit findings are tracked to resolution and progress is monitored.
- Assist the team with Risk Administration and coordination.- Implementation of new processes and systems to enhance current administration processesInternal Client Relationship Management- Build effective working relationships within the internal client organisation and contribute to the management of the partnering relationship.
- Deliver high-quality professional services within established routines or as part of agreed projects.Compliance- Be able to identify non-compliance issues and participate to provide possible solutions/recommendations to ad hoc problems within an assigned unit or discipline.- This would require working under guidance and within existing compliance systems. Contribute towards regulatory compliance within the Risk Function.Data Management- Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required. Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)Diploma in risk management (Advantageous)- FAIS Accreditation (Advantageous)- Relevant 3-year Business Management or insurance industry related degree
- Recent Graduate- Basic level competency in Microsoft Office- Strong verbal and written English communication ADDITIONAL INFORMATION *SAQA Accredited Equivalent
