Role Description
Entsika Foundation is seeking Animal & Crop Production graduates for a contract-based, on-site role in KwaZulu-Natal. This role involves hands-on experience in agricultural production, ensuring efficient farming operations, and contributing to sustainable farming initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Production planning and management
Quality control and assurance
Implementation of sustainable agricultural practices
Training and knowledge sharing with local communities
Basic mechanical experience
Report writing
Assist in setting up agricultural fields and grazing lands
Conduct extensively field work
Collaborate with stakeholders, including farmers , agricultural organizations and community groups
Contribute to the development and implementation of agricultural programmes and policies
Ability to work long hours in outdoor field condition
Ability to work in a team/ be a team leader.
Passion for agriculture and genuine interest in contributing to the development of the agricultural sector in KZN
Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or diploma in Animal Production, Crop Production, or a related agricultural field
Strong production planning and management skills
Knowledge of sustainable farming practices
Basic experience in animal or crop production
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a rural/agricultural environment
