Your role and
responsibilities
In this role , you will have the opportunity to support business, collaborate with different teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by the program manager/corresponding leader.
You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and participating in the local Trainee Program. This is a 24 months contract position.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of products and services within the defined area as directed.
- Participating in formal training to develop personal and leadership
skills
in preparation for future professional roles.
- Delivering the assigned tasks/projects within the assignment period.
- Contributing to diverse social events and team activities and using the chance to establish a broad network within ABB.

ABB’s business enables customers to operate some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner.
We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions and services for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software, machine automation technologies, as well as measurement and analytics solutions.
The program is made up of three assignments in different roles:
1) One nine-month assignment in your home country as an introduction to the business. 2) One six-month assignment abroad to get an overview of ABB’s operations in a different environment/role and work on an exciting assignment with a different team, expanding your network.
3) One nine-month assignment back to the home country/home business, where you will deepen your knowledge of the business and of your function.
During the program we will take the participants on a leadership competency development journey. The last rotation will also be the time where the participants start to look for their final position, to be started after the end of the program. All program trainings are meant to build the foundations of your future career evolution.
Qualifications
for the role
- You are a recent graduate (preferably Master’s level) in Information Technology or Information Systems
- You are interested in business analysis and process improvement; any first
experience
from internships or university projects is a plus.
- You are comfortable working with data and structured information (e.g., Excel); basic SQL/data modeling knowledge is a plus.
- You are interested in low-code solutions (Microsoft Power Platform) and motivated to learn how apps and automations support business processes.
- You are curious about AI/ Copilot capabilities and committed to responsible use (security, privacy, governance).
- You communicate confidently in English (written and spoken) and work well with stakeholders.
- You are proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, and you enjoy working in international teams.
