Job Summary The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for receiving, picking, packing and processing of warehouse transactions.

Responsibilities

Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations, information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Continuous development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Comply with internal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues identified.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to resolving problems, completing audits, and identifying trends
Basic Qualifications

Must have good computer skills.
Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word.

Grade 12
Physical Requirements

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone
