What are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support our procurement operations, ensure timely sourcing of materials, and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain.

What do we expect from the candidate?

Motivated Junior Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, excellent observation and analytical abilities and a proactive approach to sourcing and vendor management.

The key

responsibilities:

- Bulk stock planning with Production weekly (twice a week if deemed necessary)

- Placing orders with local suppliers.

- Updating tanker schedule daily.

- Preparing & sending out daily ROE.

- Sourcing pricing and getting 3 quotations locally for every purchase.

- Tracking ETAs for all deliveries.

- Planning loads with transporters for collection of bulk.

- BBBEE reporting.

- Supplier Development Contracts (Donations)

- Continuous supplier evaluation.

- Requesting and updating latest supplier certificates.

- Updating drum & flowbin schedules daily and making sure packaging does not run out.

- Purchasing of PPE, stationery, labels and consumables on an ongoing basis.

- Preparing and Issuing out of non-conformances to suppliers.

- Control and issue gate pass for removal of

company

resources off site.

- Sourcing and procuring local commodities.

- Expediting.

- Monitoring commodities on local stocked items.

- Preparing a weekly tanker offloading report/schedule.

- Raising Purchase Orders upon request from management.

- Requesting documents from supplier for loading as a new vendor.

- Assisting with planned monthly stock takes.

If you possess…

Must-Have:

- Grade 12/Matric.

- Diploma/Degree in supply chain management/ Procurement.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Attention to detail.

- Excellent computer literacy skills.

- 2 to 3 years relevant

experience

in supply chain /procurement.

- Microsoft D365 will be an added advantage.
