ICT Support Technician – Contract | Cape Town
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Availability: Immediate Start Required
Rate: R35 per hour – Contracting Position
Overview:
We are seeking an adaptable and technically proficient ICT Support Technician to support the full ICT landscape—ranging from infrastructure and applications to support functions and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will bring both hands-on experience and a strong understanding of systems, networks, and ITIL practices to this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support across networks, servers, systems, and business applications.
· Assist in the management of IT infrastructure and hardware/software troubleshooting.
· Deliver support services aligned with ITIL standards or equivalent methodologies.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business continuity across ICT functions.
· Engage in user support, training, and issue resolution with professionalism and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
· Matric / NQF Level Qualification
· MCSE Certification
· Solid understanding of hardware and software environments
· 1–2 years’ experience on a Service Desk (SD) or technical support role
· Residing in the Cape Town area
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
· ITIL Foundation Certification or proven knowledge of ITIL-based workflows
· Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
· Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced support environment
