Job Title: Consulting Tech Intern

Location: Woodmead, Johannesburg

Program Duration: This internship is a 12-month program starting 1 April 2025.

Eligibility: This internship is open to graduates who have not previously participated in an internship or held a permanent role for over 12 months.

In line with our obligations under the Employment Equity Act 1998, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups

Purpose of the Role

As a Consulting Tech Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of Oracle Cloud technology projects, both for internal initiatives and external clients. You will work closely with senior consultants on cloud migration projects, assist in troubleshooting, and contribute to the overall success of cloud solution implementations. Your goal will be to develop expertise in one or more Oracle Cloud Technology Domains, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document business processes, and prepare technical documentation.

What You Will Do

 

Collaborate with project teams to deliver Oracle Cloud technology solutions.
Support senior consultants in planning, executing, and troubleshooting cloud migration projects.
Aspire to become a Subject Matter Expert in Oracle Cloud Technology Domains, such as DevOps, Database, Analytics, AI, Integration, Platforms, and Infrastructure.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and document business processes.
Prepare technical documentation and reports capturing project milestones and results.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving client issues related to cloud deployments.
Participate in internal meetings and client presentations, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Minimum Qualifications: BSc in Information Technology, BSc in Computer Science, BCom in Informatics, or an equivalent Technology or Engineering-related degree.
Desirable Qualifications: An Honours degree is advantageous.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

 

Quick learner with the ability to grasp and understand new concepts easily.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Exposure to or knowledge of cloud services and tools such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of cloud concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and virtualization.
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL).
Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
Basic understanding of networking, databases, and security in cloud environments.
