The purpose of the receptionist is to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, playing a crucial role in creating a positive impression and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the company.
Minimum Requirements
Formal Qualifications & Additional requirements

Matric
Experience

2 – 3 years receptionist experience
1 – 3 years industry experience 
Knowledge

Working knowledge of office devices and processes
Strong reading, speaking and writing skills.
Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, as well as various computer applications
Computer Literacy

knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
keyboard skills
ability to work a switchboard
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
Take and relay messages
Provide information to callers
Greet persons entering organization
Direct persons to correct destination
Deal with queries from the public and customers
Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
Provide general administrative and clerical support
Prepare correspondence and documents
Receive and sort mail and deliveries
Schedule appointments
Maintain appointment diary either manually or electronically
Organize conference and meeting room bookings
Co-ordinate meetings and organize catering
Monitor and maintain office equipment
Control inventory relevant to reception area
Tidy and maintain the reception area
