OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Trainee Human Capital Business Partner will be provided with an opportunity to gain practical Human Capital experience while supporting Human Business Partners in delivering Human Capital services, implementing SACAA policies and procedures, and contributing to a high-performance culture that supports the organisation’s strategic and legislative mandate.
Payroll and HRIS-System
Generate new employee numbers.
Load new employees on SAGE and print-out relevant reports.
Populate new employee’ information on SAGE Payroll module.
Capture and reconcile monthly Travel and Subsistence claims.
Capture and process quotations and invoices on the system.
Track and monitor HR related queries on the HR Helpdesk platform
Training and Development
Assist employees and line management in the planning and implementation of training and development interventions.
Provide administrative assistance to employees and managers on training related queries.
Assist the Skills and Training department with WSP and ATR submissions.
Assist OD team with capturing of bursary applications.
Human Resources Administration
Perform the day-to-day Human Resources administration of SACAA policies and procedures, including quality management of HR templates and forms on ISO9001.
Attend to queries and follow up with the line managers and employees in line with the time frames as outlined in the HR SLA.
Assist in the planning and implementation of HR events.
Performance Management
Download the performance reports for HRBPS and attend to Performance Management System Queries.
Coordinate Training of Superusers for the Performance Management System.
Track and monitor the performance contracting and performance reviews for all Divisions to ensure compliance to performance review intervals.
Recruitment and Selection
Load adverts on the Recruitment portal.
Assist with the compilation of shortlist of potential candidates in collaboration with the HRBP.
Prepare interview and recruitment files for HRBPs
Capture fingerprints of candidates pre or post interviews
Conduct verification of qualifications on Lexis Nexus
Prepare for SACAA induction for new employees in line with the Induction policy and procedure
Industrial Relations
Provide support to employees and managers regarding the implementation of Industrial Relations practices and procedures.
Participate in engagement forums between line management and the Labour Union.
Assist in facilitating disciplinary hearings and recording of lodged grievances
Organisational Development
Organize sessions with Divisional Executives and Managers for all OD engagements with the business.
Support the OD department with the implementation of all OD initiatives and processes.
Assist in implementing HR and employee engagement surveys
Requirements
EDUCATION (FORMAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED)
MINIMUM
National Diploma in Human Resource Management or relevant equivalent qualification
Added Advantage
Degree in Human Resources or relevant equivalent qualification
EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)
1 year experience as Human Resources Administrator /Intern/ Coordinator
