Description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
1. Support to Stakeholders  
1.1 Provide advice to the chamber/business units in uploading compliant discretionary grants and administration  
    payments;
1.2 Provide feedback on payments submitted to the chambers/Business units within 30 days;
1.3 Respond to queries from internal and External stakeholders within 48 hours.
2. Finance Administration
2.1 Verify the payment claims received from the chambers and units against the contract deliverables;
2.2 Verify the admin payments and travel invoices captured by SCM on the RFP system;
2.3 Capturing invoices onto Sage X3 for DG and Admin claims and Creating Payment batches on Sage X3;
2.4 Creating new vendors and capturing the banking details on Sage X3;
2.5 Preparing the finance payment requisitions on finance related payments;
2.6 Allocating the GL account, Project ID and activity numbers to payment claims received;
2.7 Preparing the monthly creditors reconciliations;
2.8 Filing of all finance documents electronically on the finance drive;
2.9 Attending to the audit requests and other consultants related requests;
2.10 Performing weekly bank reconciliations on all accounts;
2.11 Capture any other journals as requested and assist in all other reconciliations and finance related duties;
2.12 Perform asset verification and asset tagging;
2.13 Update the commitment register (Contracts, payments, cancellations, surplus declarations).
3.   RFP System and Project Module 
3.1 Verifying and capturing of admin and DG payments on Sage X3;
3.2 Verifying the DG Contracts Deliverables on paper trail.
4.   Personal Development and Reporting
4.1 Completion of HR requests timeously (Performance agreements, appraisal, Personal Development Plans, declarations of interests, etc);
4.2 Transferring of knowledge to other Finance team members.
Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience and Qualification
   •  M+3 National Diploma in Accounting; 
   •  1 years’ experience in Accounting/ Finance environment; 
   •  Knowledge of using Excel efficiently;
   •  Knowledge and understanding of accounting systems;
   •  Public sector experience will be an advantage.
2. Knowledge and Skills
2.1 Knowledge and Understanding of:
   • Business Administration knowledge;
   • Financial management and business systems knowledge including Accounting Software and MS Office;
   • Financial Management and Management Accounting knowledge;
   • Relevant legislation and GRAP;
   • Information Technology Management knowledge.
2.2 Skills
   • Strong Administrative skills and typing skills;
   • Excellent communication and report writing and presentation skills;
   • Analytical skills, data analysis skills and performance information management skills.
