Duties & Responsibilities
Answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally (within 5 rings / 20 seconds) Transfer calls accurately to the correct departments or individuals. Take and relay detailed messages via email or Teams when employees are unavailable. Assist with dialling and transferring international calls. Maintain an updated list of staff extensions, new joiners, leavers, and emergency contacts. Assist other departments with reasonable ad hoc tasks as required Ensure compliance with TFS House Rules and SHEQ standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001).
Skills and Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional telephone etiquette. Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and manage high call volumes. Accuracy and attention to detail. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Access).
Qualifications
Matric / Grade 12 1–2 years’ experience in a similar switchboard or administrative role. Customer service experience and exposure to a busy electronic switchboard.
