Department Description
The Faculty of Health Sciences, Registrar’s Office is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant. The faculty office is responsible for student administration in respect of admissions, registration, assessment, graduation and records management.
The successful candidate will report to the Faculty Registrar within the Faculty of Health Sciences, which is committed to offering efficient and expeditious service delivery to prospective and current postgraduate students and graduates. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality customer service and have a strong attention to detail.

Job Description
· Assistance with preparations for graduation ceremonies.
· Assistance with Student Records Management (Filing and Record Keeping).
· Assist with Postgraduate student assessment processes and administration for Supernumerary registrars.
· Assist with Venue bookings and related logistics.
Minimum Requirements
· High levels of computer literacy (Microsoft 365).
· Matric and National Diploma, or relevant degree
· Experience in using the Student Information Management Systems (SIMS), would be advantageous.
· Experience of 1 – 2 relevant student experience in the faculty office
· Understanding of the University environment especially faculty administration, policies and procedures.
· Good communication skills (verbal and written).
· Attention to detail, with the ability to identify, analyse and solve problems.
· Good time management, planning and implementation skills.
· Ability to work within a team.
