Requirements: Grade 12. Basic qualification as a Professional Nurse according to R 425 or equivalent qualification that leads to registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
Post Basic qualification in the speciality area: Psychiatry, recognized in accordance with R 212 or a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing recognized in accordance with R 635.
A qualification in Health Services Management or equivalent qualification .Current Registration with the SANC . A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. A minimum of 9 years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience as Professional Nurse after registration with the SANC of which at least 5 years must be in Psychiatric Nursing after obtaining the Post basic qualification.

Duties: Coordination of 24- hours optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided within the set standards and a professional /legal framework. Manage effectively the utilization and provision of resources. Coordination of the provision of effective training and research. Provision of effective support to nursing services .Maintain professional growth / ethical standards and self- development.
