Department of Student Services and Development (DSSD)

The Department of the Department of Student Services and Development invite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

The Department of Student Services and Development is committed to provide safe, accessible, reliable and dignified transport services that enable students with disabilities to participate fully in academic, residential, social, leadership and co-curricular activities, thereby supporting the University’s commitment to equity, inclusion and student success.

Main Objective:

The

Requirements

- Grade 12

- A valid Code 08 (preferably a Code 10) driver’s license)

- A Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is a requirement

- Minimum of 6 months’ driving

experience
in passenger transport. It could be an advantage for the incumbent to have one year of

experience

as a driver transporting passengers.

- Minimum of 6 months’

experience

working with persons with disabilities or working with students within a higher education environment.

- Ability to operate wheelchair restraints, ramps and other accessibility equipment.

- Valid First Aid Level

1 Certificate

- Clean driving record.
