Requirements
Assist the instrumentation section head with management of the instrumentation maintenance workshop and subordinates (6 artisans/technicians,
2 Students, ±10 contractors and all SAFARI-1 personnel for instrumentation maintenance related tasks), planning and coordinating maintenance activities and job card

s as required in accordance with the various specifications of the SAR, maintenance programmes, legislative and regulatory requirements.

The primary task is to ensure that all scheduled maintenance activities, performed during shutdown periods, are attended to and completed in time and accurately. Any breakdowns need to receive immediate attention and often require innovating and original ideas in order to find solutions for sometimes complex problems.

Ensure that quick and accurate calibrations are performed on an ongoing basis during shutdown periods in conjunction with the various quality and maintenance systems and programmes. Support all members of the maintenance team as required. Support with maintenance on radiation facilities. Support with modification of reactor components and equipment.

Ensure that maintenance equipment is in good state and use calibrated equipment, when required. Follow-up preventive and corrective actions as required from the maintenance request programme. Support the FE group with specialised projects and on development of new facilities.

Maintain an effective documentation and records system on completed maintenance work including the updating of instrumentation drawings. Administrate the maintenance store(s) to ensure that critical items are available and controlled as required. Key Knowledge &

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications &

Experience
N6 and Trade test in Instrumentation. At least 2 years’

experience
with a thorough knowledge regarding nuclear instrumentation and or systems as well as aspects related to quality assurance and environmental control systems (regulatory and legislative requirements) in a nuclear facility. Computer literate Drivers Licence
