Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent qualification, a minimum of five years’

experience
in cleaning services environment. Must be prepared to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as well as being rotated to different wards or sections within the institution. Punctuality and good work ethics. Must have the ability to work under enormous pressure. A certificate in waste management will be an added advantage.

Computer literacy certificate.

Duties: Supervise cleaners on their day-to-day duties. Monitor the work performance of cleaners. Ensure adequate supply of all cleaning materials and cleaning equipment (machines, etc.). Adhere to minimum and maximum stock levels in order not to run out of stock. Manage risk in terms of assets and inventory control.

Allocate personnel accordingly and monitor their attendance, conduct and maintain progressive discipline in all components. Ensure that all areas are always covered. Provide guidance, assistance and training to cleaners. Responsible for the contracting and evaluation of staff according to PMDS Policy.

Ensure that national core standards and Batho Pele Principles are adhered to. Perform all administrative and related functions. Provide patient services. Perform any other relevant functions as instructed by the supervisor/manager.
