Job description
Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Minimum of 1 year of appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage. Knowledge of inventory management. Knowledge of contract management policies. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA). Knowledge of National Treasury Regulations. Computer literacy.
Recommended: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Planning and organizational skills. Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively under pressure
Duties: Provided administrative support for Supply Chain Management operations. Performed pre-posting of VA2 transactions. Updated VA10 tally cards to maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitored inventory lists and maintained stock accuracy. Monitored minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure optimal inventory. Calculated average cost of inventory items. Compiled inventory demand plans based on stock requirements. Processed stock replenishment and verified precautionary factors. Compiled monthly reports on stock issued. Prepared inventory records and documentation for the March and September stock-taking processes. Maintained accurate inventory records in accordance with Supply Chain Management policies and procedures.
