WAREHOUSE HELPER III (2 positions)

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

 

Oversee and control of redundant assets;
Keep store clean, neat and safe at all times;
Ensuring that all sectional related business processes are executed effectively and efficient;
Ensure that all the internal movements are done within the agreed timeframes;
Deliver new and old furniture to different departments;
Attend to all PeopleSoft requests and respond within agreed timeframes;
Complete transfer documents and ensure that it is signed and handed over to the Store Manager;
Make sure the vehicles are clean and go for their inspection;
Assist with sale process by placing tender documentation and numbers on assets that are to be sold;
Ensure that store is clean and assist with the numbering and marking of items with tender numbers.

Minimum Requirements

 

Grade 10;
6 months relevant work experience with proven experience in and knowledge of, inter alia:
Store Management;
Administration;
Asset environment experience.

Planning and prioritising of tasks;
Ethical and professional integrity;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Administration and organisation skills;
Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and function under pressure.

Added Advantages And Preferences

 

Grade 12;
6 months experience of asset management in a university environment;
Drivers licence for vehicle and truck (Code 10 and PDP) – desirable.

PLEASE NOTE: All shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in relevant skills assessments as part of the selection process.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
